For instance, I have four TV sets with fat back in my Home Office, Family Room, Master Bedroom, and the Recreation Room. They are still running as normal.
So, being frugal means that I continue to keep these TV with fat back till they eventually stop running. Time will tell when I get to replace them with flat screen TV sets.
Based on my personal experience, when a piece of clothing such as a few shorts and T-shirts, which I used to have in my drawers, have holes. I tend to go out shopping and replace by purchasing a new short and a few T-shirts. And get rid of these old clothings.
Of course I was raised with a frugal family, who managed budget very well. I am grateful that I am in this family. Why? Because they have showed me such a good example of how to be frugal with money.
Even though that I am still practice of being frugal with money and budget now nowadays.
Here are four terrific books to read as follows:
- The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness by Dave Ramsey
- First Steps to Wealth by Dani Johnson
- Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki
- Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quantrant by Robert T. Kiyosaki
Those books were terrific books to read and to learn from. It changed my way of thinking based on how I handle money. It also helps me to think in a positive way. And think twice if I truly need to buy whatever I need. It is also great to have a privilege for myself such as I took my son, Nolan and me to have ice creams in cones at Baskin-Robbins last Saturday.
F for Being Frugal with Money.
Call to Action: Take some time to review your budget and see where you stand. Perhaps choose which book you'd like to start reading.
